Shane Mpala

Shane joined Junonia Partners in 2023, arriving with expertise in corporate accounting, multi-entity reporting, and outsourced CFO services.

Prior to joining Junonia, Shane was an Associate Director at Apex Group (formerly Sanne / Strait) where he led the management company & CFO services department, for a portfolio with total AUM over $10 billion. His responsibilities included department oversight and growth, back-office support to both new and established fund managers, as well as revamps to operational workflows. He also oversaw client relationship management with fund managers, and relationship management on behalf of fund managers with compliance, audit, tax, and operational software providers.

Shane first joined Strait as a senior accountant in the family office department, providing accounting and operational support to high net-worth individuals. In tandem, he assisted in launching the management company services department, which he eventually led and expanded.

Prior to Strait, Shane worked as a corporate accountant for Tuesday Morning Corporation. His responsibilities there included financial reporting of 700+ nationwide retail stores, compilation of PBC audit schedules, and assisting with adoption of the latest revenue standard (ASC 606) and lease standard (ASC 842).

After beginning his career in the audit practice at EY, Shane joined IDLife, a health & wellness company, as an accountant. During his tenure at IDLife, his role evolved from accounting duties to supply-chain management, eventually leading the division as a director.
