Austin Valdez

Austin joined Junonia Partners as an Associate in 2023, bringing experience from both corporate and private equity accounting.

Prior to joining Junonia, Austin worked as a Fund Accountant at Apex (formerly STRAIT / Sanne). In his time at Apex, Austin provided treasury services, operational support, prepared capital activity calculations, and assisted with the quarterly closing process. He worked on clients invested in a variety of industries, ranging from oil & gas, life insurance, and technology, with total AUM over $2 billion. He bolstered his understanding of private equity and fund operations as a whole, while also gaining exposure to different fund structures.

Austin began his accounting career at a growing technology company, Newline Interactive. While at Newline, he managed both daily and weekly reports for the sales team and CEO. He also assisted in the invoicing process and was the main point of contact for their customers and carriers.
